Red Cross helps 5 adults, 3 kids after Albany fire

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – The American Red Cross says eight people got emergency help after a fire in Albany.
In a press release, the Northeastern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross said volunteers responded Saturday afternoon in the City of Albany.
The Red Cross said it gave financial help to two households for shelter, food and clothing.
Those households included five adults and three children, ages 7, 11 and 13.
The press release said Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available in the coming days to help those affected as they recover.
