A MAJOR £750,000 road resurfacing scheme is set to get underway in Ederney on Monday, August 2026 10, with motorists being advised to expect temporary road closures and diversions while the improvement works are carried out. The investment by the Department for Infrastructure will see approximately three kilometres of the B4 carriageway resurfaced, covering Market Street, Leatham Crescent and Edenamohill Road, between Main Street, Ederney, and the Colaghty Road junction. “This substantial investment of £750,000 for the B4 route will deliver significant benefits for road users in Ederney and the adjoining villages,” she said. To allow the resurfacing work to be completed safely, a road closure will be in place between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, along the affected section of the B4. A signed diversion will operate via Irvinestown and Dromore using Church Street, Letterboy Road, Manoo Road, Kesh Road, Fairgreen Street, Pound Street, Dromore Road, Tummery Road, Old Creamery Road, Main Street and Dooish Road before rejoining the B4 at the Minnie Burns junction.
