A Sauk Village woman was killed Monday when struck by a vehicle on Illinois 394. Illinois State Police said it was a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian shortly after midnight Monday on southbound I-394 at Joe Orr Road in Lynwood. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Mariah Ford, 20, a resident of the 2600 block of Marigold Drive. State Police said the woman was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead. Southbound I-394 was closed for more than 3 ½ hours following the accident.
