Eight fire engines, the high Volume Pump, Command Support and welfare unit are currently in attendance at Strawberry Hill Heath.
A spokesperson for East Leake Fire Station said:‘Several of our crews have been to and now have returned to the large wildfire at Strawberry Hill Heath, Mansfield.
‘Our wildfire vehicle will remain at the scene, assisting crews throughout most of the night.
‘Please help us protect our countryside by avoiding open fires, disposing of cigarettes responsibly, and never leaving barbecues unattended.
Together, we can help prevent fires that can change the landscape and wildlife habitats for years to come.’
