4:30 pm: NFRS |Crews have been released from the incident at Sherwood Pines.
2 pm: NFRS | Crews continue to work hard to extinguish the fire at Sherwood Pines.
We are asking members of the public to avoid the area whilst we work.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said at 12:45 pm on Sunday 9 August:‘We currently have 6 fire engines and a water carrier at a forest fire at Sherwood Pines.
‘Please avoid the area, and if local residents are affected by the smoke, keep doors and windows closed.’
