A dog was found dead after a hit and run accident in Meriden on Friday. Just before 4 p.m. on Friday, a Meriden police officer located a deceased dog in the middle of the intersection at Mill Street and State Street. WATCH HERE WATCH HEREThe dog was identified as a 15-month-old Chow Chow Husky mix named Milo. A witness said a black SUV was traveling south on State Street and turning onto Mill Street when they struck the dog. The SUV stopped in the roadway and then continued to drive on Mill Street towards Pratt Street.
