I saw a ray of sunshine when a self-described socialist from the Portland City Council came on my talk show to discuss the MODA makeover madness that’s overtaken city, county, and state government. Angelita Morillo says about the new owner of the Portland Trail Blazers, “We should call his bluff.” It seems likely the notorious cheapskate team owner doesn’t have that kind of cash, so his threat to move might be all bluff. Politics does “make strange bedfellows”, but if my finding common cause with a Portland socialist means saving taxpayers from highway robbery, so be it. I’m Lars Larson
