CLEMSON – A hush fell over Memorial Stadium’s crowd last October as Clemson wide receiver Bryant Wesco Jr., crumpled to the ground after a low tackle sent his body into a flip. At the time, the former Freshman All-American already led the ACC with 31 catches for 537 yards and six receiving touchdowns. Fellow wide receiver Tristan Smith, who caught his first Clemson touchdown in the loss, almost could not believe the fragmented medical updates he heard from the sidelines. The Tigers will experience their first hits on Sept. 5, when Clemson heads down to Baton Rouge, La., to open its season against No. Last year against the SEC’s Tigers, Wesco led Clemson with 66 receiving yards.
