UGASports continues its 100-day countdown to the Bulldogs’ 2026 season opener with the “100 Days of Georgia’s Greatest Plays” series.
Today, on Day 27, we revisit one of the greatest plays in Georgia football history involving the number 27.
On Day 27, UGASports looks back at Sony Michel’s 27-yard walk-off touchdown run in double overtime that delivered the Bulldogs a Rose Bowl victory over Oklahoma.
The winner would face the winner of Alabama-Clemson, played later that evening, for the CFP National Championship.
Georgia now faced second-and-12 from the Oklahoma 27-yard line, one play away from playing in the CFP National Championship.
