Ayr author Alasdair Wham raised £200 for the Ayrshire charity while celebrating the launch of his new novel, Life is a Lie. Alasdair donated £1 from every book sold during the launch night, as well as auctioning off a proof copy of the novel and holding a raffle. The fundraising efforts brought in a total of £200 for the charity, which provides support to individuals and families affected by cancer across Ayrshire. A spokesperson said: "As a continued supporter of Ayrshire Cancer Support, we are incredibly grateful for Alasdair's ongoing kindness and generosity. "Every donation helps us continue providing vital support to individuals and families affected by cancer across Ayrshire."
