Barcelona are reportedly not happy with midfielder Frenkie de Jong's decision of not going for surgery after injuring his medial collateral ligament during the Netherlands' 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign in North America. AdDe Jong, 29, hasn't played a full game for the Blaugrana since February due to injury and an eye on getting fit for the World Cup. After missing nine games, the midfielder featured in six before missing the last two matches of the club's victorious La Liga campaign. They have two more friendlies coming up - against FC Basel in Basel on August 16 and Al-Ahly three days later at the Camp Nou ahead of their La Liga title defence at Elche on August 23.
