Community members met Homewood Police officers, toured their vehicles, learned about their equipment, played games and enjoyed food in the Homewood Police parking lot during National Night Out on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 4. The event was moved to the Homewood village hall parking lot this year due to construction and renovation in Irwin Park. Chase, the Homewood Police mascot, walked around the event, taking selfies with community members. Community members threw the balls at the net. Metra Police Officer David Harris operated the Metra Police booth and answered community members’ questions.
