H-F parks staff get recognition and thanks for outstanding efforts after tornado

The staff of the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District got rave reviews for their efforts following the Monday, July 27, tornado that caused damage to parks and buildings. Brent Bachus, president of the park board, told staff their numerous efforts were outstanding, and “nothing short of heroic.” At the Aug. 4 park board meeting, Bachus read from a list of storm damage:
