Following a blisteringly great career that started with the Maplewood Lacrosse Club and continued through to Seton Hall Prep, Rutgers University, and Major League Lacrosse/Premier Lacrosse League, Maplewood native Jules Heningburg was inducted last week into the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame. “I was a lacrosse rat as a kid,” Heningburg told the News-Record. He was a first-round pick for MLL (which merged all operations with the Premier Lacrosse League in 2020), and accumulated more than 140 points in his pro career. Heningburg cited the Maplewood Lacrosse Club in his acceptance speech. Crediting “great coaches, great mentors, great people in my life,” Heningburg said that”Playing at a young age, Maplewood Lacrosse Club was an incredible opportunity for me to fall in love with the game and develop that passion.”
