However, supporting documents submitted with the latest application state the property is currently operating as a 14-bedroom HMO. The application seeks formal approval for the conversion of a former storage room into an additional bedroom. The applicant's planning consultant says the storage room is no longer required for operational purposes and would be put to better use as residential accommodation. No public objections have been submitted and Southend Council has yet to make a decision on the application.
