The Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana has reaffirmed Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I as the new leader of the church following the death of its founder, Apostle Emeritus Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. The reaffirmation was made during a National Joint Intercessory Prayer Service held to honour Apostle Emeritus Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka as part of activities marking his birth month. Speaking at the prayer service, the Public Relations Officer of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, Akwesi Ofori, said the council carefully considered the succession process before settling on Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I. But with good counsel, they were able to come out with Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I,” he said. He urged members of the Mission to rally behind the new leader and support his vision for the continued growth of the church.
