Eight children were hurt after a car slammed into a preschool in Glendale on Friday afternoon, according to authorities.Police said a driver attempting a U-turn hit the accelerator instead of the brake, then went through a wall at Grandview House Preschool.

Glendale police got a call just before 2 p.m. that a vehicle had struck the Grandview House Preschool in the 1200 block of North Pacific Avenue.
A 79-year-old woman who was not affiliated with the school had been trying to make a U-turn in the school parking lot, according to Glendale Police Sgt.
