Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed that a body was discovered on Saturday, August 8, on the M5 between Junction 22 (Burnham-on-Sea) and 21 (Weston-super-Mare) near Loxton and Banwell. Avon and Somerset Police said they were called to the location on the M5 northbound at around 12.50pm once the body had been discovered. Police officers confirmed they attended the scene, and while formal identification has not yet been completed, they believe it to be 52-year-old Scott Morris, who had been missing since Thursday, July 23. A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "His next of kin have been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this time. "The death is not being treated as suspicious, and we will prepare a file and carry out enquiries on behalf of the coroner."
