DULUTH — The 2026 Northwoods League season ended forgettably for the Duluth Huskies on Saturday, as the Thunder Bay Border Cats scored in each of the last seven innings of a 24-5 rout at Wade Stadium. The Border Cats had only four doubles in the onslaught and no triples or home runs. Duluth Marshall alum Owen Marsolek started the finale and allowed seven runs on seven hits and three walks in 3 2/3 innings, coming out of the game after taking a comebacker off the arm. The Huskies finish the 2026 season with a second-half record of 13-22 and an overall record of 29-41. Braxton Swetland (28) of the Duluth Huskies pitches against Thunder Bay on Saturday at Wade Stadium in Duluth.
