Tom Chadbon obituary
[]
Guardian Middle East
The actor Tom Chadbon, who has died aged 80, was a deft character player, blessed with a versatile voice – his naturally light, delicate, melodious vocal register acquired steel and depth when required – and an almost cherubic physiognomy that could toughen on command.
The family moved to Jersey when Tom was 12 and he attended Victoria college in St Helier and then Chichester high school for boys.

His last screen role was a cameo in the hit fantasy series Game of Thrones (2017).
Although he eventually retired from theatre to concentrate on screen and voiceover work, Chadbon managed to indulge his passion for Shakespeare before he did so.
