August 8th was international cat day (quite why 08/08 was chosen to mark this occasion when cats have nine lives isn't entirely clear, but that's a whole other article). To commemorate this feline occasion, The Pokémon Company previewed two brand new Meowth Pokémon Cards that will feature in the upcoming 30th Celebration set. Alolan Meowth, or at least its lower half, can be seen wiggling around at the top of regular Meowth's artwork, while Kantonian Meowth is creeping around atop the vents in the Alolan Meowth illustration.
