One motorcyclist was killed and another was critically injured in a traffic collision south of Orcutt Saturday afternoon, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. Emergency crews first responded to the area where the northbound Highway 135 on-ramp meets the Highway 1 northbound around 3:28 p.m. for a report of a collision involving two motorcycles, according to Fire Capt. The other was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance. Both highways were open as of 4:15 p.m.“Motorists are advised to use an alternate route if possible due to heavy traffic and emergency responders still on scene,” Gray said.
