Vice presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has expressed grief over the death of former Clerk of the National Assembly, Adamu Mohammed Fika. “I received with sadness and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah the news of the passing of Dr. Adamu Mohammed Fika, CFR, Zaura Kura of Fika,” he wrote. He also conveyed the condolences of his family, the Kwankwasiyya Movement, members of the NDC and former colleagues from the 1992–1993 National Assembly. BACKSTORY:Adamu Mohammed Fika was a prominent parliamentary administrator who played a significant role in Nigeria’s National Assembly. He served as Clerk of the National Assembly and remained involved in parliamentary affairs after his retirement.
