Jaipur, August 9, 2026: Rainfall continued across Rajasthan on Sunday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for heavy rain in 19 districts. Jaipur, Churu and Alwar received spells of rain, while temperatures in several parts of the state fell by up to 6 degrees Celsius. During the past 24 hours, light to moderate rain was recorded in Bharatpur, Karauli, Alwar and Jaipur on Saturday morning. In western Rajasthan, rainfall began in Jaisalmer, Phalodi and Bikaner in the evening and continued until late at night. Rainfall activity is expected to decrease in western Rajasthan from August 14 and in eastern Rajasthan from August 15.
