Narayanganj-3 BNP MP Azharul Islam Mannan today sought a list of police personnel serving in the district whose family homes are in Gopalganj. The BNP lawmaker sought the list at the monthly law and order committee meeting held at the Narayanganj deputy commissioner’s office. The MP further alleged widespread illegal gas connections in his constituency’s Sonargaon area, blaming officials of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company. He claimed that around 65,000 illegal gas connections had been provided in Sonargaon, Rupganj and Araihazar during the previous Awami League government. “If cases are filed over illegal gas connections, Titas officials should be made the prime accused,” he said.
