The Ethnic Cultural Academy in Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh has remained largely non-operational since its inauguration in 2019 due to a shortage of manpower and basic utilities. The project was implemented by the Shilpakala Academy and the Public Works Department. Despite being handed over to the Shilpakala Academy following its inauguration in 2019, the facility has remained largely unused. Recruitment of other staff remains stalled, while the proposed 10-member executive body awaits approval. He said staff recruitment and other necessary steps would be taken after the executive body receives approval, allowing the academy to become fully operational.
