Princess cakes are still sold at Seven Springs’ bakery, Gingerbread Dreams. Seven Springs assistant culinary manager Cathy Van Nosdeln has created princess cakes for more than 20 years. She said the original recipe was introduced by Seven Springs bakery chef John Gross. Jones left a teaching career to bake cakes, among them princess cakes. “Seven Springs (growing up) has always been our favorite place to order princess cakes from,” Jones said.
