Her latest achievement was reaching the summit of Gasherbrum II, located in the Karakoram mountain range on the border between Pakistan and China. HE Sheikha Asma said the climb involved five days of waiting for suitable weather before the team began its summit push, reaching the summit at around 5 am. Reflecting on the expedition, she highlighted the importance of teamwork and safety, saying, ‘Nobody rushed the mountain. She also recalled the moonlit climb and the sense of wonder she experienced on the summit while paying tribute to Pakistan and the Karakoram mountains.
