Simba Day is a celebration of the club, where they unveil the new signings to the supporters and also play their final friendly before the new league campaign starts. Jabaar was included in the Simba starting line-up, while Rushine de Reuck was given the captain's armband on the day. Despite the fan-fare on the night, neither side were able to find the back of the net in the opening 45 minutes.
