KENNETT — An investigation is ongoing into a two-vehicle accident Thursday in Kennett involving a Missouri State Highway Patrol vehicle and a Ridstar E-Bike, said Troop E Patrol Sgt. A 47-year-old Kennett man sustained serious injuries in the accident at 2:21 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at the intersection of Floyd Street and Compress Road in Kennett. The Kennett man was heading eastbound on a Ridstar E-Bike. According to the patrol report, the crash occurred as the bicyclist failed to stop at a stop sign and traveled into the MSHP vehicle. The bike was totaled, and the patrol vehicle had minor damage to the front bumper and hood.
