Tech giant Palantir accused of ‘aggressive tax avoidance’ at Europe’s expense

That was US tech giant Palantir’s effective global corporation tax rate in 2025, according to a new study.
Its effective tax rate therefore amounted to a mere 1.4%.
In the United Kingdom, Palantir paid £2.1 million in tax in 2024, giving it an effective tax rate of 8.2%, openDemocracy revealed in June.
That is more than double the group’s global effective tax rate that year, but the comparison is not as straightforward as it seems.
Even so, Palantir’s effective UK tax rate remains well below the OECD’s 15% global minimum rate.
