A bat-wielding Oldham man who threatened to burn a woman's property down has avoided prison. Wilding, of Lincoln Road, Failsworth, appeared at Stockport Magistrates' Court on July 31 having previously pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon, threatening to destroy property and criminal damage. At Manchester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (August 4), Ferry, of Hollins Road, pleaded guilty to going equipped for theft and was jailed for 32 weeks. An Oldham woman has been sentenced by a court for possessing an XL Bully. Maddock, of Irwell Walk, appeared at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Monday (August 3), where she pleaded guilty to having custody of a fighting dog.
