The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sahiwal has withheld the matriculation results of 409 candidates from the Secondary School Certificate First Annual Examination 2026 over discrepancies found in their fee vouchers.
The results were held back after the board accounts department began auditing and reconciling paid fee vouchers of all examinees against actual bank statements.
The mismatch between submitted challans and bank statements raised concerns of financial embezzlement, mismanagement and possible irregularities within the fee collection process.
He said that although the matric results had already been announced, some results were subsequently halted, and the committee was scrutinising all examination fee challans.
A facilitation center has been set up at the BISE Sahiwal premises where affected students can consult officials and submit their fee challan data for verification.
