Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday detailed the long-languishing Bidadi Township project in Bengaluru, saying the futuristic hub will feature advanced road networks, metro connectivity, a modern sports arena, sprawling parks and well-designed housing options. In an X post, Shivakumar said the Greater Bengaluru Development Authority will transform the landscape of Bengaluru’s South District through the project. He said the Bidadi Township project, which had remained stalled for years, is now being revived as a state-of-the-art AI City with world-class infrastructure, metro connectivity, sports facilities, parks and housing. Shivakumar said farmers who prefer land instead of monetary compensation will be allotted 50 per cent of the developed land. He also stressed that the land acquisition process will be entirely voluntary, with no coercion against farmers unwilling to contribute their land.
