HYDERABAD: Tiruvannamalai town police of Tamil Nadu detained two youths from Hyderabad, one of them wearing an AI‑micro camera‑fitted pair of spectacles, after he was found capturing photographs of the sanctum inside the Arunachaleswarar Temple. Temple security and devotees caught them on August 7, when security was tightened in view of Union home minister Amit Shah’s visit to the temple town. “We were informed by temple security officers that two persons were caught while waiting in line to offer prayers after a security officer spotted a light flashing from the frame of the glasses. We rushed to the temple and detained them as a precautionary measure for questioning,” a police officer from Tamil Nadu said on Sunday. Telangana police said they had not yet been intimated by Tamil Nadu police.
