UPDATE: 6 p.m.A wildfire burning near Sun Peaks has now been listed as 'being held' by the BC Wildfire Service. ORIGINAL: 4:55 p.m.A new wildfire has popped up northwest of Kamloops and Sun Peaks this afternoon. She said an initial attack crew is responding to the fire, which is located 16 kilometres northwest of Sun Peaks. Sun Peaks Fire Rescue has also responded to the fire and is monitoring the situation.
