The emergency room at the Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt is closed overnight tonight, having just reopened from a 25-hour closure early Saturday morning. In a press release, Interior Health said emergency services are unavailable from 6 p.m. tonight, Aug. 8, until 7 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9. Interior Health said patients can access emergency care at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops during the closure. All other inpatient services will continue at Nicola Valley Hospital.
