Whitefield Live Well Centre launches on Sunday, August 16, marking the opening of Bury’s first dedicated centre under the Live Well programme, which aims to bring together health, wellbeing, and community services under one roof.
The launch event will take place at the new centre on Albert Road and is open to the public, promising a day of free, family-friendly fun.
Helen Tomlinson, chief officer at Bury VCFA, said: "The opening of the Whitefield Live Well Centre shows what's possible when local organisations and residents shape something together.
The Whitefield Live Well Centre forms part of Greater Manchester’s broader ambition to deliver easily accessible, everyday support within neighbourhoods.
The Live Well model brings together public services, community organisations, and residents, with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and reducing inequalities.
