Dig For Dementia, a local charity initiative led by Jack Pickford‑Brake, organised the community clear‑up with support from Stannah volunteers and Test Valley Borough Council deputy mayor Cllr Iris Andersen. Mr Pickford‑Brake said he wanted to repay the museum for hosting Dig For Dementia’s community garden in its courtyard. He said: “The museum has let me use their courtyard to create the community garden space that we use for our community groups, so I wanted to think of a way of giving back. Stannah PA Samantha Jankowski said staff were delighted to be involved and urged more businesses to support community causes. Museum manager Ian Grierson said the makeover would help the museum make better use of the garden.
