Churchill Living Ltd and Housing 21 have applied to Test Valley Borough Council to replace the former offices with a retirement scheme. As demolition continues at Alan Child House, Churchill Living has put up site boards saying: "New Apartments Coming Soon. The proposed scheme would transform the brownfield site into retirement accommodation close to Andover town centre. Developers say Test Valley has a "critical need" for housing for older people and the site is within walking distance of local services. The original decision deadline has passed, but the application is still listed as 'current' on the Test Valley Borough Council website.
