Frederico Santos told the jury that the woman had made up the allegation because “she probably wanted to spend more time with me”. He had gone to a home in Ipswich, where the woman was babysitting, and they watched a film together. The woman said he leaned over and started kissing her before putting his hand on her bottom, at which point she said: “No.” Santos, now 25, took to the stand at Ipswich Crown Court where he said the woman was “lying” and that she “set the tone” for the encounter. His explanation for her allegation was that she was upset he left, as she would have liked him to stay longer.
