Dyfed-Powys Police closed the rural road and urged drivers to find alternative routes or allow extra time for their journeys. Elsewhere in Pembroke Dock, a traffic light failure at the junction of Ferry Lane and London Road caused significant delays. Further disruption was reported on the A48 westbound near the M4 at Pont Abraham, close to the Pont Abraham roundabout. A police spokesman said at the time: "The A48 from Pont Abraham to Cross Hands westbound has been closed due to a collision near Pont Abraham roundabout. Initial updates from Traffic Wales suggested the M4 westbound was closed from junction 49, but police later clarified that the closure affected the A48 westbound.
