The owners of Hampton Park Service Station at the corner of Glen Eyre Road and Burgess Road, Bassett, want to remove a restriction placed on the approved ‘food to go’ unit. Members of Southampton City Council’s planning and rights of way panel put a condition in place stating no customer seating was allowed back in June 2025. Motor Fuel Limited’s bid to amend this requirement so the Greggs can have indoor seating will go before councillors on the panel on Tuesday, August 11. The revised plans alter the approved Greggs layout to create 19 indoor seats. A letter prepared on behalf of Motor Fuel Limited by JMS Planning said the proposed seating was modest and proportionate.
