Pensioner admits assaulting neighbour after 'dispute that has gone badly wrong'

Sally Beaney, 75, of Chillerton, Netley Abbey, was previously charged with poisoning the neighbour with ant killer.
She appeared at Southampton Crown Court on Friday, where she pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm against a neighbour who is living with late-stage cancer.
Prior to sentencing, Beaney will undergo assessment for a mental health treatment requirement.
"It is a neighbour dispute that has gone very badly wrong for this defendant."
Beaney remains on unconditional bail and will return to Southampton Crown Court for sentencing on September 18.
