David Fletcher, 23, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a lockback knife on Ratho Street and later at the police office. A procurator fiscal depute told Greenock Sheriff Court: “At 8.20pm, police witnesses were within an unmarked police vehicle on East Hamilton Street in Greenock. The case called at Greenock Sheriff Court. The procurator fiscal added: “The accused was conveyed to Greenock police station. “A search was carried out in custody and a lockback knife fell from the accused’s buttocks.”
