Pupils' fundraising helps build solar-powered water well in Pakistan

Lomeshaye Junior School in Nelson raised £750 during Ramadan and initially intended to use the funds to send vital aid to Gaza.
However, due to ongoing blocks on aid entering the region, the school faced a difficult challenge in delivering those resources directly.

Colin said: "We learnt about children's rights in school and know children have the right to water and food so it's good we can support them."
