Accrington town centre will host the free, family-friendly Youth Fest on Saturday, August 15 from 10am to 3pm. Councillor Kate Walsh, portfolio holder for culture, heritage and arts, said: "Accrington Youth Fest promises to be a fantastic day for young people, families and visitors to the town centre. Joe Barratt from Place For Youth said: "We’re delighted to be bringing Accrington Youth Fest to the town centre and creating a day that puts young people at the heart of the action. Accrington Youth Fest aims to change that by putting young people’s ideas, talents, and ambitions at the centre of the community. With creative workshops, sports activities, market stalls and live performances, the event promises to be one of the highlights of the summer in Accrington town centre.
