ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A market in Old Town waived vendor fees for local businesses, aiming to support makers and keep more money in their pockets. The SLOW Market took place in Old Town earlier in the day. Organizers said they cover vendor fees for local businesses to help build community. “I think Albuquerque is a really really really strong place of support for local artists and local makers, and I think it is always important for us to support the people around us who are just trying to make a living with their hands doing something creative,” said Claire Patterson with Cindre Jewelery.
