The PM-RAHAT Scheme, approved by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, provides cashless treatment of up to ₹1.5 lakh to eligible road accident victims.
Eligible cases are processed within the prescribed timeframe and referred to concerned hospitals for timely medical treatment, ensuring immediate assistance to accident victims.
The Rah-Veer (Good Samaritan) Scheme effective from 17 July 2026, encourages members of the public to assist victims of serious road accidents during the crucial Golden Hours and ensure their prompt transportation to the nearest hospital or Trauma Care Centre for timely medical treatment.
The scheme also provides legal protection to Good Samaritans under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and the rules framed thereunder.
J&K Police appeals to the general public to come forward voluntarily as Rah-Veers (Good Samaritans) assist road accident victims during the Golden Hours and help save precious human lives.
