Day 2 focuses on field-based learning, women led FPOsSRINAGAR: The second day of the IFAD Project Partners’ Learning Forum 2026, on Saturday organized by the Mission Directorate, HADP/JKCIP under the Agriculture Production Department, focused on field-based learning and exposure to successful models of women-led agricultural enterprises and modern horticulture. Delegates from IFAD-assisted projects across India visited key sites to observe agricultural interventions firsthand and interact directly with farmers and stakeholders. Here, they observed modern apple orchards and fruit-picking activities on a 12-kanal farm with around 1,920 high-density apple plants. He stressed that such exchanges foster peer learning, demonstrate the impact of institutional support, technology, and farmer collectivization, and help adapt successful approaches to local contexts. The forum concluded with a focus on women’s empowerment, innovation, and collaborative rural development.
